GROUND SQUIRREL CONTROL
We offer highly effective management and control of California ground squirrels. These burrowing rodents leave open holes varying from small (a few inches) to large (a foot) across, posing a significant trip and injury hazard to people and livestock. These holes can wreak havoc in landscaped areas, leaving holes and piles of dirt everywhere, which leads to ground instability. They can rapidly turn a pasture into a field of potholes, and are even known to make their burrows among the foundations of buildings.
Sometimes they are known to feed on the roots of plants, but usually feed on seeds, grains, nuts, and fruits.
Ground squirrels' mating season is early spring and tends to last for only a few weeks. They have one litter of five to eleven per year, leading to populations quickly multiplying in the spring and summer. They can live for up to six years.
